Welcome

Let’s work together! Whether you have an existing diagnosis or are just beginning to understand the symptoms that are challenging you and impairing your life, I can help. It’s incredibly important to find a clinician you trust and feel comfortable with when undertaking treatment for OCD, generalized anxiety disorder, rumination, specific phobias and social anxiety. I am compassionate because this is tough work, but I will also encourage you to do the hard things that lead to successful treatment, which can greatly improve your quality of life.

Education and Approach

I have a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and completed a clinical internship at an anxiety clinic where I specialized in treating OCD and anxiety disorders. I have extensive training and experience in ERP (exposure and response prevention), which is an evidence based treatment for OCD and Anxiety Disorders. Since then, I have expanded my scope of practice and work with various different mental health challenges ranging from depression and low self-worth to difficult life transitions, grief and interpersonal relationship conflict.

I ground my work in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also utilize interventions from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and encourage deep work around self-compassion. Sharpening awareness and noticing (mindfulness) is a necessary aspect of this work, which I will offer guidance around.

I am a Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Oregon. I am currently completing my Oregon licensure time requirements and plan to be a licensed professional counselor (LPC) by summer of 2026. I have 3 years of experience working with clients in a clinical setting. I am currently under the supervision of Margaret Ann Johns, LCSW—licensed in Oregon L8387. I have a Bachelor of Science in Editorial Journalism from the University of Colorado.

How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.
